At least five members of a family were killed in a firing incident in Kundi Taza Din area of Pabbi in Nowshera on Thursday. According to DPO Mansoor Aman, the tragic incident occurred in Qandi Tazadin area of Nowshera. He said that some unknown armed shot dead five family members at their home. He said that the victims including a couple, their two sons and a daughter.

The police has reached the crime scene and started the investigation. The slain people include Syed Aleem Shah, his wife Hadia, sons Farman, Kashif and daughter Nida Noor. The Rescue 1122 personnel shifted the bodies to Mian Rashid Shaheed Memorial Hospital.

The DPO said that the victim family belongs to Badbher area of Peshawar. The victims were living in a rented house in Nowshera.

Police said the incident is the outcome of a family enmity. An investigation into the case has been initiated.

Meanwhile, the bodies of three labourers from Bajaur tribal district, who were shot dead in Larkana district of Sindh on Wednesday, have been sent to Bajaur on Thursday.

The Bajaur Youth Jirga members were preparing to stage a protest demonstration with the arrival of the bodies. The situation in Bajaur is tense after the killings, and a protest was also held by the Bajaur Youth Jirga in Khar.
